I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the location was convenient, close to amenities and offering lovely sea views, the room had some serious issues like a collapsed ceiling and no water due to maintenance. The service was hit or miss, with some problems acknowledged but also inconvenient dining requirements. The dining was reasonable with a good selection of real ales, but the brochure was overwhelming. Overall, this stay didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of value for money.

The hotel boasts a stunning location with direct views across the coast and sea while also being conveniently within walking distance to the beach. The rooms are nice and clean, though they could use a little maintenance. The service was a mix of helpfulness and unhelpfulness, and the dining experience varied from satisfactory to poor. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.

The hotel offers spacious, clean, and well-appointed rooms with very comfortable beds, though they may benefit from a refresh. The service is top-notch with extremely helpful and friendly staff. The location is fabulous, just a 10-minute walk from the main beach and local shops. The dining experience is a bit inconsistent, with quick service but sometimes lacking in temperature control. Overall, a great value for money stay with pleasant amenities.

The hotel has a wonderful vista but the decor could be improved. The bathroom was excellent. I enjoyed leaving my car onsite to take a walk along the lovely front.

Rooms
7.0
The room had a wonderful vista but was completely spoiled by the decor. The walk-in shower was a nice touch and having a table and 2 chairs in front of the windows was quaint, although it felt a bit off with the steps from the bedroom.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Jodie, was lovely, although some struggled with English and lacked customer service skills.
Location
9.0
The location is very good for local restaurants and the beach. It’s a quiet area but well within walking distance of the main shopping street in Porthcawl.
Dining

The breakfast experience had some issues with timing and quality. There were delays in getting toast and tea, and some items were overcooked or lacked attention. However, there were fresh meat options.
Facilities

The hotel offers lifts to all floors, which is a bonus. However, improvements could be made in the dining experience.
